Shamen Spitting

The air con had to go on last night as there was no air coming through the windows. At least we all slept well and long. Everyone got up late (obviously Huffle was the first up as he had to work - well someone has to). Lots of sleepy faces this morning and I sat and watched TV with the boys until we could be bothered to get breakfast. More TV, followed by tablets while I cleared the kitchen and cleaned it.

Late morning we went to the school to see what the class lists were for this term. Both boys have male teachers this year (this is a first apart from their music and Science teachers previously). Both boys are happy with their teachers and their classmates (me too). Phew, thank goodness. Next we took a quick trip to the library where we happened upon a huge film crew in the car park. Apparently they were filming Undercover Rogue (I don't know it but I believe it is a Police series) on a nearby Highway. Very exciting. We carried on to the supermarket where we picked up food and some new born clothes for the newest Hamlet member. ClownRose has just had a baby boy and her daughter starts school next week too. Awwwww. Sweet.

The boys were a big help with the shopping though Smallest was so tired he could only push the trolley (and bump into things). At home we unpacked and put away and then had lunch. Once again the boys were in front of the TV. They want to make the most of it seeing as they will be at school in five days time. The temperature was 31* today with storms forecast for later in the evening (there was a bit of lightning but nothing much). After some general tidying I popped over to ClownRose to deliver our present and to The Royals (neither houses were answering so I came home). It was so hot and humid I went in the pool all by myself. The pool temperature was 25* which is not bad considering it was only filled a couple of days ago. There is a still a slight leak but we will deal with that another time.

Smallest joined me and we played for a while and then Huffle came for a cool off, shortly followed by Small. We had a whirlpool till Huffle went back to work and Small, Smallest and I played Piggy in the Middle. Small got a bit grumpy (tired) when I got out of the pool and so he went inside and read. Smallest and I started a new game indoors and Small joined us.

While I made dinner, the boys played a game we got yesterday from Jacq. It is an Indiana Jones DVD/Board Game which they seemed to like. Dinner was eaten, the game continued and then more TV. Smallest went to bed extra early tonight though he must have come down three times before properly settling down and going to sleep. Small went earlyish. The air con is still on as the rest of the week and weekend is supposed to be hot too.

Huffle and I continued to watch Stephen Fry in Central America which is very interesting. Smallest is now hooked on David Attenborough's programmes and the boys have discovered Top Gear (they think it's a new series).
