The Sorting Hat

Today was our last day before Huffle goes back to work and the kids go back to school. Huffle and I sorted out the planning of the kitchen which took a while as the programme is not very good. It's all done now bar a few questions I have to ask of the kitchen people. We re-measured a few cupboards just to make sure and now we are ready to go to Ikea and put our order in. In the meantime, Moo and Smallest sorted out Smallest's wardrobe and cleared it of all things that were too small or he didn't wear. Then she started on Small's room with his help. Huffle cleared his wardrobe yesterday and we now have so many free hangers.

The boys played on the Wii, argued, came off the Wii, had a nerf war, read in their rooms, played on the Wii, argued, had a nerf war and read in their rooms and so it went on.

It snowed again

After lunch we all played Alhambra. I cleaned the cooker while Huffle FaceTimed Grandma and Grandad and then Moo and I decided to take the Christmas decorations down. Huffle had tried earlier in the week to sneak a few down but we caught him. Of course, taking down the decorations meant dusting, hoovering and rearranging of furniture. We were all shattered by the time we finished despite the boys badgering us to play table tennis and hide and seek.

We bought Small a music stand - he was trying it out.

After a cup of tea, we gave in and started hide and seek. I nearly didn't find Huffle who had hid himself in the laundry/bathroom and Smallest squashed himself under the sink for ages.

We had dinner of various soups from the freezer and watched TV, jigsawed, dot to dotted, put Smallest to bed, where he hit his eye on the bed and had a big bruisy egg come up and played Skip-Bo till it was Small's bedtime. Huffle, Moo and I played Take Two (with scrabble pieces) and then watched Dickensian till our bedtime. Zzzzzzzzz
