Warm cousins

Most of us were late in bed last night so we all had a lie-in. After breakfast where we finished off the waffles, Huffle and Small went off to football where Small did not get a game but just lots of training. Smallest, Moo and I played table tennis and washed the bedding.

Smallest played on the Wii and Moo and I put two cupboards together. They were very easy and we were surprised at how all the components for a whole cupboard were in the same box. I thought it would be much more complicated than that. They are really heavy too. We also sorted out some more space in the original cupboards and cleared up a lot of rubbish. All our old pans and baking sheets have been thrown away.

All the top cupboards are now done

When the boys came back from football, we had lunch. Moo and I played Skip-Bo and cleared some more cupboards and then made Leek and Cheese Sausages for our dinner later. Small showered, did his homework and played on the Wii. Huffle and Smallest played on the Wii and watched yesterday's video of the football game Smallest was in. Huffle helped him to see where he was going wrong and to see how he could play better. If only he could do that for each player, they would have a fantastic team.

We all Skyped the Rumbleskins for our yearly catch up. We got to see their lovely new kitchen and chat to the cousins about Christmas presents. Their weather (Australia) was gorgeously warm and all we had was heavy rain all last night and today until 4pm when our snow came. It was nice to chat to them.

Huffle FaceTimed Grandma and Grandad while Moo and I finished off our skip-bo game and made dinner. After dinner, Huffle and I braved the elements (the snow was thick and the wind was ferocious) and went out for Huffles MRI scan. It wasn't a very nice journey as the roads were getting bad and it was really windy. We got there early but went in anyway. Huffle had to fill out some forms and then he was in. We didn't have to wait long and he didn't have to take his clothes off (well we wonderd!). He gets the results in a week.

On the way home we heard that some houses in the Greater Toronto Area had no power so we called home to get Small to get the candles out and fill up the bath just in case. We stopped off at a coffee place and had a little something and a warming drink next to a pretend fire before coming home. Our power was still on, Smallest was tucked up in bed pretending to be asleep and Small was watching TV. Moo had a cup of tea waiting for us.

We played cards before some TV. The wind is getting worse. 50kmh at the moment and the snow is starting to drift. We are expected to have 2-4 inches of snow overnight.
