Why wouldn't he have a stick in his bag?

Snow in the U.K.? No sign of it here. Hope I haven't spoken too soon!

Small woke me up this morning from a nice deep sleep, all the way through sleep. The boys were busy getting their lunches together to help me and I just made their sandwiches. Aww bless 'em. I waited with Smallest while his bus came and tried to persuade him to put his gloves on and not in his pocket, though to be fair it was quite mild and the temperatures were in positive figures.

I had a very slow breakfast and watched TV. I had a dentist appointment at 11am just for a clean and check. I watched the news which was quite depressing. No work needed but I do need an appointment with MrGum which I have been putting off for a while now. Suffolk has had this procedure done and says she will come with me and drive me and wait at the cafe for me, I just need to get it sorted.

I had agreed to meet with Suffolk for lunch and I came out much earlier than I expected (she works in the morning) so I went advent calendar and stocking shopping. Advent filling rather than the calendars themselves as I made one about seven years ago. Filling one though costs more than buying one but it's fun. I bought chocolates and little things to add. How did December come round so quickly? I also bought things to fill the stocking with (not that I do that, Santa does obviously....). I also picked up a few food items we needed and then sat outside Suffolks house waiting or her to come home.

She surprised me by opening my car door and getting in. "Drive to CooperBeech" she said. She was going to make me lunch but hadn't had time and was stressed and her eyes hurt. This is not how we normally talk to each other. We dither and don't make decisions very well and are very British, however today she decided to just say what she wanted. In fact we decided next year will be the year of say what you want.

We had a lovely vegan lunch and then came back to hers for some sewing preparation. Ironing of fusible batting and interfacing ready for quilting. We discussed the Christmas present Huffle has commissioned her to make for me (a wheaty bag) and she showed me the huge pillow she has made for Small for his birthday. We managed a cup of tea and then I drove off to collect Small from Band Practice.

Back home I made dinner. Butter Chicker and Lentil Dahl. Yum yum.

After dinner Smallest and Huffle went to football practice and Small and I stayed at home. I sewed and he tableted and we had a quick game of skip-bo. He has a sore throats and I made him a hot lemon honey ginger drink. Oh oh!

Do it again whatsisname do it again

The warm temperatures of yesterday's disappeared and became 1*.

The boys went to school and Huffle worked at the kitchen table until mid morning and then in the loft for the remainder of the day.

I went to exercise and was driven by MrsM and her seat warmers. She said she was going to get out of the car but her seats were so nice she waited for me inside. We had a gentle workout today but lots of weights, arms and abs plus plank and sideways push-ups. OUCHY.

At home Huffle had made some pasta for me and we rolled it out (very sticky today) after I made two lasagnes for dinner later. The ktichen was as big mess from last night and then another big mess from the Lasagne. So I cleared and cleaned it all away before having a wash and lunch.

This afternoon I went to school again and picked up the same four boys and took them to the volleyball tournament. They won their first game, lost their second and had to play a tie game which they lost which meant we had to have a long wait before they played for a third/fourth place. We lost both games and came fourth but they played really well although Smallest cut his thumb falling on it!

We got home about 5:30pm and Smallest did his computer Maths work while dinner was finished (Huffle got everything in the oven). Lasagnes were lovely.

After dinner the bigger boys played FIFA, Smallest had a shower and I knitted. We all watched ImACelebrity and about ten minutes of RogueOne

Petticoat Fails

The temperature today was a whopping 17*. WOW that's crazy weather. The sky was such a beautiful bright blue.

The boys went to school, still in coats as it was much cooler first thing this morning. Huffle worked in the loft though I found him up a ladder fixing the barn drainpipe at lunchtime. I went to work and worked with Jeff, Jan and D in the greenhouse. We took cuttings of peperomia and other weird plants. For coffee break we had a lovely Chocolate carrot cake with a crunchy shortbread topping. Delicious. I get the recipe next week. The greenhouse got to 27*. Very nice.

Look at that sky. Not edited!!

Huffle and I had lunch and watched part of a Gotham episode before I rushed off and did some food shopping. There are certain shops here that are sooo very quiet in the afternoon and this was one of them. No one in the aisles, checkouts free. Perfect. Just as I was packing the car, Huffle remembered something we needed so I popped to another shop on the way home and also looked for knee pads for Smallest as he has another volleyball tournament tomorrow and he has worn his knees out of his trousers and has two huge bruises.

I came home, watched the Leicester game (win yay) and FaceTimed Moo at the same time. Small came home and watched with me for a while and spoke to Moo and went off and did his homework. Smallest came home, chatted to Moo and did his homework with some help from me. He now has to do 30 minutes of reading everyday, Mathletics on the computer each week, plus his normal maths homework and now a booklet which has spellings, language and maths. Small got given his preferred subject for the essay he as to write for English. "Are professional sportsmen paid too much?".

I made dinner and Smallest made shortbread with some help from me and some cutting out from Small. The boys played FIFA and Huffle and I watched the start of ImACelebrity.

PaddingtonsDad for Prime Minister

My cough does not like the cold air, it makes me wheeze and cough and splutter. Other than that I am well again. Hurrah. I even returned to my Monday exercise class which was tough. We went on the treadmill (just brisk walking) and weights. We tried to do some floor work but I coughed too much so we did planks and coccyx hurting stuff instead. (My bloomin' coccyx is still hurting me even sitting on the sofa now).

Huffle using his 'koosie'

The boys went to school, in coats (progress). Smallest had a Volleyball tournament today which I volunteered to drive to. At just before midday I went to school and collected my four passengers and drove 20 minutes away to another school. Just me and the usual mum there to drive and support the kids until a few more turned up. We ended up there until 5:30pm. Five and a half hours of volleyball and other people's kids!!!

The boys had ten games in all and most of those were played one after the other. Smallest hurt his knee but played in all of the games (not all the way through). Most of the games were very tense but they won all but one and we ended up having to sit and wait for another school to join us (we waied for an hour and a half). They won those two games too which now means we have to go to another one on Wednesday. Guess who will need to drive again? It was a very long day with nothing to do but sit or stand and watch.

Smallest missed his piano lesson. Small had his. Huffle had warmed our soup up for us for dinner and then he took the kids off to Cubs where they met a man who was very old and had been in the war. He talked to them about being in the Welsh Division. He was deaf and spoke very loud but the boys said it was very interesting.

Huffle and I played a game of Downfall, Mastermind and SkipBo.

I don't believe in Santa in November*

Snow overnight but a very tiny dusting. Temperatures between 1 and -0.5 however it certainly felt colder! Huffle and I slept in and didn't get up until 9:30am WOW luxury.

We had pancakes for breakfast and discussed what we could do today. Having found nothing particular nearby, we decided to drive to Orangeville, home of TheEdge, a well known wrestler (in our family anyway though I'm not sure I've heard of him). A couple of years ago, we drove through this place on our way to a holiday cottage and it looked quaint and 'shoppy' and had lots of wood carvings. So we went and had a look.

We didn't leave until 11:30am ish and it was an hour and 20 minutes drive through mainly uninterrupted countryside. Our first stop was a shortbread shop where we were forced to buy a dozen to avoid tax. How silly is that? Persuade you to eat more biscuits. Good for me but not sure it's a healthy thing! So one dozen mixed shortbread biscuits were purchased and our next stop was a chocolate shop. The shortbread shop smelled lovely and tempting but the chocolate shop smelled weird. However we still bought a tiny pot of lemon curd for me, a white chocolate snowman lollipop for Smallest and a pack of Turkish delight for Huffle. All for little Christmas presents. We spied a place to eat in later and carried on. A lot of the shops were closed which was a shame as they had a few quirky different places.

The Main Street, or Downtown, wasn't as big as we had remembered and as the majority of the shops were closed we only found a couple more to go in. We didn't buy anything else but they were warm and friendly. It was bitterly cold outside. We went for lunch in a vegan(ish) cafe. The boys enjoyed grilled cheese sandwiches, Huffle had a chicken sandwich and I had a black bean burger. For drinks I had lovely refreshing peppermint tea, Huffle and Smallest had hot apple cider and Small had a hot chocolate. Very nice.

Santa was there today and photos were being taken with him. Smallest said he did not want to go anywhere near him. We asked if he believed in Santa and he said "no, not in November. I will believe in him five days before Christmas only". Fair enough!

Small decided it was a town of food as that is what the main theme of the shops (that were open) were but he was very disappointed there wasn't a cheese shop. Walking back to the car, a different way, we happened upon a cheese shop but it was closed. Small didn't mind, he was just happy there was one! We did see lots of carvings out of the old tree stumps. Possibly not as many as we thought we had seen whilst driving through, but good ones.

Not sure which one is scarier?
Very tall postman
Is it Cowboy Kev?
Ouch!
Just fits
He'th a boxther

We drove home dreaming of eating shortbread with our cup of tea. They were very nice. We sampled Double Choclate, Butterscotch, Chocolate Chip and Pecan Caramel.

Small finished his homework, Smallest and I played Mastermind and all the boys played FIFA.

This evening with our tea, we sat and attempted to watch Star Wars4. Here is our dilemma. Do you watch them in the order they were made? The order they make sense? Or the order in which the SWgeeks best thinks doesn't ruin the whole Darth Vader/Luke story? Well we decided to put Rogue One in the middle where it best makes sense for the running of the whole thing. When I saw RogueOne in the cinema, I spent the entire film wondering how it followed on from the last one which kind of ruined it for me. However, we couldn't get it to play so we resorted to watch ImACelebrity instead. None of us like Iain. Only Smallest likes Stanley (don't believe his eternal optimism), not sure about Kez, Becky is miserable but I'll forgive her seeing as she married a Leicester player, Shappi meh, Vanessa meh, Toff needs to fall over more, Dennis Wise is just soooo small but we like him so far. Is Amir that stupid, we like him. Jamie is normal. Think that's it!

The ref's got a unibrow

A nice sleep, a good lie-in, yay it's the weekend.

The boys all watched the Stoke game (2-1 defeat) whilst eating breakfast. I cleared and cleaned the kitchen and finished a Christmas chicken which was supposed to be piano inspired for MrsPiano but it has somehow morphed into a zebra/chicken. I might still give it to her though I'm not sure how well received it will be.

We all got ready and went out to Smallest's football which just happened to be in the same dome as he was playing cricket in a few days ago. As soon as we walked in one of the mums said "is he wearing white, it's white shirt today", AND HELLO TO YOU RUDE LADY! Smallest played extremely well today (I know I'm biased but really he did). Even his coach was shouting out good things to him today as well as various parents. He definitely got an assist (Grandad!!$$). He hurt his hamstring but not badly and we rewarded him with choice of dinner place. He chose Fish and Chips.

On our way home we popped to the supermarket for wool (more Christmas presents), maple syrup (staple) and potatoes, among other things.

At home Smallest had a nice hot relaxing bath and Small chose his seven subjects for his final exam in Grade9. He has to do an essay which will give him 15% towards his final score. He had some interesting topics to choose from. He has to go to English on Monday and hope he gets the ones he wants. It's a first come first served basis and none can be repeated. I made Gingerbread and Smallest cut them out. I wanted to see how many would fit into a Bauble for more Christmas ideas.

Huffle and I did some online Christmas shopping, the boys played on FIFA and we all watched ImACelebrity until 7:30pm when Small and Huffle went off for Small's football game leaving Smallest and I at home to watch a film. Small wore the wrong shirt and ended up in his last clubs top instead of his new one.

The referee was officious and wore gloves much to Huffle's disgust (it wasn't cold in there).

Small had to play in goal for the second half. To make the coach, who is useles and doesn't understand football, realise that Small does not like to be a goalie, he kicked it out and basically did as much wrong as possible whilst also having a bit of fun.

The chemical reaction of a yoghurt

It seems Huffle and I are back in the routine of sleeping again. Hurrah (I hope that doesn't jinx it).

My cough is slowly disappearing. To be fair I only stepped out of the door today to wave goodbye to Smallest as he got on the bus and it was cold enough to stop me going out for the rest do the day. Saying that, temperatures went up considerably by midday. Still, I had plenty to keep me occupied inside.

Small went to school and while he was gone, as I clearing his room of washing, I found a yoghurt hiding under his desk. A science project maybe? I considered texting his science teacher to ask if she could tell me what experiment he might be working on!!!! He went without his coat again!

Today I did my normal tidying plus putting clothes and towels away, a couple of loads of washing and some cleaning of internal windows. I sewed Small's SoupKoosie for Christmas and I was very happy with the result as I did it all by myself and learned from my mistakes on Huffle's.

I tidied away all my sewing stuff and then sorted through all my knitting and crocheting.

Huffle and I had lunch and watched a Gotham episode. This afternoon I baked a Lemon Drizzle Cake and made a dough for later and then watched the Leicester game (1-1) while finishing off lots of Christmas presents (sewing in ends, casting off etc etc). I now have a considerable pile ready to wrap.

Both boys came home asking if they could watch ImACelebrity on my IPad. Pair of old men. They sat in Small's room. Smallest with his feet on the bed, bum in the chair, eating a pice of cake. Small on the bed, homework strewn around. They informed us it was a good episode. We don't get to watch it until about 9pm so they have to stay quiet.

I made pizza and Huffle had a go at one of the many chips on our kitchen worktop. It costs $250 for the professionals to come out and who knows how much extra once they are here, so Huffle is trying to have a go himself on one of the smaller ones. Goodness knows how he will sort the bigger ones but I know he will have a go.

We ate our pizza in front of StarWars3.

Just a wee hat*

Another night's sleep. I'm getting used to this. Still coughing but few and far between now. Huffle thinks it's mainly when I go from warm to cold and cold to warm.

Huffle let me have a lie in this morning as he had taken the day off to get a break from his boring data processing and to watch Smallest's Cricket tournament. He made the boys' lunches with help from Smallest. Nice - thank you family for my lie-in, it was much appreciated.

Huffle and I had a lovely morning of watching TheApprentice and TheDetectorists whilst eating our breakfast. So lazy. We then made meatballs and a sauce for dinner later before getting ready to go out for to watch smallest play Cricket. We took two cars so I could collect Small from Band practice later.

The Cricket was non-stop Cricket, which amused Huffle greatly. There were six stumps, and a wiffle ball with lots of holes in it, suffice to say it doesn't go too far. The Cricket bat was plastic and small. It is a very frantic game and we had two teams today, an older one and a younger one. Smallest was in the younger one. They had three games each and then a final which just happened to be our two teams against each other. Huffle and I missed one game when we went to grab some lunch at the local TimHortons.

I missed the last game fetching Small but the older team won in the end and Smallest's team came 2nd. Yay, well done Smallest - he is very tired and achey. He has played three volleyball games, one football practice and four cricket games in two days. Poor thing.

After dinner, the boys played FIFA, Huffle had a hot bath and watched cricket (more cricket?) and I crocheted.

*Whilst at the the cricket tournament, Huffle went for a wee and dropped his hat down the toilet before he flushed it! Eeeuuugghhhhh

Don't proffer your elbow to me!

Yay, after a coughy spluttery start, we slept. All night long. I woke up feeling much better but the cough's still there, just less of one now. Then it got worse again. I had bouts of feeling great and then bouts of feeling very yucky. Maybe another good night's sleep will help.

Small went to school refusing to wear a coat. Good heavens it's -2 and feels like -8*. He said he couldn't fit it in his locker. AND WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ITS -23? Smallest went to school with no gloves or hat but at least wearing a coat. He's left one pair of gloves at school and I forced him to wear another pair. As soon as the bus appeared, he took them off and stuffed them on his pockets. Pair of Wallys. When Smallest got home he said he needed a hat today as his ears were cold. NO! Well I never!

Huffle returned to his data processing (can tell it's boring and doing his head in cos he's grumpy!). I watched TheAWord(BBC) with breakfast. Despite the cold and the fact it was lightly snowing, the sunshine was beating through the kitchen window. It felt lovely.

This was the time of year (give or take a day or two) when we arrived in this country. What a shock to the system. Fancy leaving the place we were born and coming all the way here without doing too much research. Wow. 6 years. Moo asked yesterday when we were going to go for our Citizenship. Huffle said he might start the process soon but I said I wasn't too sure if I had adjusted yet. Ha ha, she said I never would! The other thing that struck us recently was that Smallest would be in his last year of Junior School if we were still in the U.K. and would be soon starting High School. Now that's a scary thought!

This morning I made the Christmas cake with the fruit I have been soaking in Brandy all week. I made a half size one for us (only Moo, Small and Huffle eat it so it's not worth making a huge one) and then I made various smaller sized ones for gifts. All double lined with parchment and double newspaper around the sides and bottom.

Leaving the kitchen like a Christmas Cake bomb had exploded, I got my sewing out and made Huffle's Koosie. It's not perfect but I am quite proud of my achievement. There are few bits that are rough but I will iron those out when I make Small's now I know what I am doing.

Stops you burning your fingers when using the microwave

Huffle and I had lunch. I cleared up the messy kitchen and thought about having a nice afternoon rest when I realised I had said I would drive Smallest and a couple of his classmates to the Volleyball game, so I did a bit of crocheting with my tea and then went off to school.

I didn't really need to be there, which is a little bit annoying, as there were plenty of drivers and some of the parents only had their own child in their car, still I drove Smallest and fakeJustin to a school smaller than our school, about 30 minutes away. They played three games and won them all easily. This was just a practice for the tournament they are having on Monday.

Huffle had made dinner and afterwards we left Small at home and took a Smallest to his practice and did a bit of shopping before going back to the practice and watching the end game. Smallest looked exhausted.

Creepy and BigBeard fix the egg

The medicine I had before bed was a cough suppressant. It was supposed to tell my brain that I didn't need to cough and to knock me out for a full night's sleep. In reality, I coughed more, so much in fact that I hurt my lower abdominal muscles too. My squeaking was worse and I had to go into the loft again. I couldn't sleep and I was freezing (my head and my feet). In the end I had to ignore my sneaky wheezing and just try to sleep. I also woke up at 7am so I probably got about five hours. Rubbish. I'm not taking that stuff again. This morning I felt groggy and sick though I didn't cough for the first half an hour of getting up. This is PANTS!

I made the lunches (yesterday's soup for the boys). Small went to school and Smallest sat and watched I'm a Celebrity before his bus came. I had a quick shower before the boiler people came back to fit the anode.

The two boiler people today were Creepy and BigBeard. Creepy was the one who came before who didn't want to work. We didn't put the heating on this morning, 1. I was too hot and 2. We weren't sure whether we could because they turned our water off. Creepy asked if the furnace was broken because it was cold and Huffle told him, under his breath, to work harder to keep warm. We don't want workmen sheltering in the warm basement like the mice! As soon as they left (our water is now eggy smell free) we put the heating back on and it was cosy for the rest of the day with lovely smelling hot water.

I spent most of the day trying to cut out interfacing and batting for the bag I am making. Suffolk facaetimed me to help. I also made a start on a Soup koosie for Huffle (which is something to put under your bowl in the microwave so it doesn't burn your hands). I need to make one for Huffle for his last birthday and one for Small for Christmas. I struggled with the instructions so Suffolk helped me again via FaceTime when she got back from her forest walk fighting off bears (no bears).

I Facetimed Moo and did a lot of crocheting and undoing. Yesterday I learned a new stitch in crochet (c2c) and its lovely so I undid a Christmas present project and recrocheted it today. It is looking very good and I am having trouble putting it down. Edit: finished, sewn up and ready for Christmas. Yay.

My sewing stuff got moved away but not too far as I plan on doing more tomorrow. This confinement of mine is boring so I went out late afternoon for a small walk in the sunshine (still cold), took photographs and met Small off the bus.

I made dinner and the boys sat in a Small's room watching I'm a Celeb while Small did his homework. After dinner Small played on his tablet, I continued with my crochet and chatted to Small whilst Huffle and Smallest played FIFA. Smallest and I also played several games of Mastermind.

I ain't getting on no plane fool

I slept better but kept being woken by a weird squeaking noise which I soon realised was coming from my throat. I also kept Huffle awake. Oh dear. I actually felt a little bit better but I still decided to go to the Walk-In doctors just to get checked out. I was cleared of pneumonia and strep throat but the doctor gave me some medicine to help me along a bit. He said if I wasn't better by Friday, then I had to go in again but I really do think I am over the worst of it now. The pharmacist said the medicine was very strong and was a narcotic (oh lovely), I only take it at bedtime and it will knock me out (wonder if Huffle can have some ;)

Smallest was coughing again this morning and was also very sensitive when Huffle told him it was time for the bus. I considered keeping him off again but he said he was fine and he was perfectly well when he got back from school though he did have mud on his face and new coat!

We did have snow but not nearly anything like they forecast.

Oodpecker feeding on Smallest's bird feeder

Small had a good day at school and brought home his report. Excellent and once again we are so very proud.

Huffle has a whole week of data processing which is very boring but it has to be done. He still managed to FaceTime Grandma and Grandad and watch the Stoke game (2-2).

While I was at the doctors and pharmacy, I did a bit of Christmas shopping. Only a little bit but it was nice to be out and meandering round by myself. Back home Huffle and I had lunch and watched a 'DontTellTheBride' (we finished it later while the boys were out).

This afternoon I made three different soups (the doctor said I had to have clear soups, no dairy, lots of goodness) and sat and knitted the beginning of my Gingerbread house.

Small came home and did his homework whilst watching the Stoke game and Smallest came home and practised piano before his piano lesson. MrsPiano gave them their lessons and we all had dinner.

Huffle took the boys to Cubs. (Smallest also had a gym sesssion for football but he chose Cubs tonight though when he got back he said he wished he'd gone to football instead).

This evening we watched I'm a celeb. Amir is so funny. The good old British public will vote for him again and again I'm sure.

I played golf with NookieBear

OMG I have coughed so much, my tummy muscles are really hurting me. I couldn't breathe when we went to bed last night and everytime I lay down I started wheezing and coughing. Not nice. In the end I had to have my inhaler which is a rare thing and yet I had three puffs yesterday. At least it helped. I had pains in my heart and I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Really I just wanted the fireman in my bedroom but Huffle was having none of it! When you call 911 here, you get Police, Fire and Ambulance, whichever is closer at the time gets here first as they are all trained in emergency medical situations. Mind you, I've seen the local firemen!! Huffle also told me last night that he would take me to the top of Poo Hill (our equivalent of Old John in BradgatePark where GrandadIc used to walk Grandad and AuntPear when they had an illness - it sorted them right out). When we told the boys where we were going they looked at us in disgust and downright refused!

I ended up in the loft again from 3am and it was freezing up there. Luckily I had put the warmer sheet on the bed so once I got in and under the blanket, it wasn't too bad. It was a terrible night for all of us because the wind was so noisy. Howling round the house, I thought the roof would fly away. We also had snow and there was a thin blanket on the ground. By the time we all got up (at least 9am) the bright sunshine had melted half of it but it started again around midday. We were forecast around 5-10cm. I'm ready for the cold now to get rid of those awful germs and bugs!

Almost looks like a split summer/winter photo - 9am ish
Midday

This morning, Huffle decided I was having a day off making pancakes and Small chose to make Scrambled Egg. It was very good, it's been a long time since he made that for us all.

The boys played on their tablets for a while. Today we listened to RadioX. The boys were complaining that they played the same five songs all the time. Huffle and I disagreed and wrote down all the songs they were playing. I think we made our point. There were no repeat songs and it took hours before a repeat artist was played.

We spent the day inside. We finished our StarWars2 film and started No3. We also watched I'm A Celeb live. We played Prehistoric Park and realised it's about 11 years old. Huffle won. Later we played Skip-Bo and Huffle won that too.

Small finished his homework. Huffle made dinner for us. Hoping for a decent night's sleep as we are all suffering now. The snow never came, it's coming through the night.

Am I more like an elephant or a bear?

Last night I slept in the loft to give Huffle a full night's sleep without me snuffling and snoring. As I left he fell out of bed, not wanting to put his hand down and hurt his bad thumb, he landed square on his back, legs in the air and naked. He looked like Gollum (I don't know why, he just did). I slept beautifully not worrying about the wheezing or the coughing that I ended up doing. I was so cosy too under my big blanket. Huffle didn't sleep well. It seems he can't sleep while I am there and he can't sleep if I'm not there. We have a plan tonight. He will either sleep with Bob, Small's enormous elephant or Pooh, his huge bear. I asked Huffle which one was more like me and he just laughed.

My cold has turned into a horrible cough that strips my chest and makes me wheezy. Yippeee. Smallest is still coughing but I think it's getting better. Huffle's sore throat is better and his thumb is more painful (he sees this as a good sign somehow).

We had a slow morning watching the beginning of The Goonies with Smallest, then we started the second StarWars until the Leicester game came on and we watched that until midday.

All of us went to Smallest's game today which was in a different dome to normal. They had a bigger wider pitch that wasn't marked out too well. The score was a draw 2-2. Before the game started I asked Smallest to get a goal. He said he couldn't because he's a defender but I asked him to try. Today he did get a goal. An own goal. Whoops, Sorry Smallest, I didn't mean that kind! However it was off his left foot so that's probably Grandads fault as Grandad coached him on his left foot this Autumn visit. (Does he still get money for a goal Grandad or does he owe you money?). The team weren't playing so well today, maybe it's the time of day. Perhaps they are better playing in the early morning slot. They should have won easily.

The football dome

After the game we went for dinner nearby. We managed nearly two games of Monopoly Deal. On the way Home we popped to the supermarket for a quick stock up and came home. It has rained all day, has been very foggy and its cold.

We had an hour and a half before Small's game. Smallest and I decided not to go as we needed a rest. Smallest had a relaxing bath and the rest of us gadgeted.

Smallest and I watched NutJob2 and then played Carcassonne. Small came home from football not very happy. He didn't like his new coach (it was the one who called for Huffle to be removed from pitchside in the Summer). He didn't like the ref (Huffle said he was a clown with a whistle). His new shirt was too small. His teammates were wimps and lacked skills. I think that's it for now. Oh dear. Poor Small.
