What my do now?*

Huffle woke me at 7am this morning banging on the floor vent because he heard a noise in the heating pipes. I think he was dreaming but he says he wasn't. Bloomin' 7am on a Saturday morning PAH!

We had a pancake breakfast and then a visit from MrBasement as we asked if could fit our Range Hood. (We still haven't heard from the illusion gas man). He came to have a look and a chat. Hopefully he will be able to do it early next week.

The rest of our morning was spent playing on the Wii, table tennis, table football, piano and jigsaw.

A rare moment of loveliness where the boys helped each other with the puzzle.

After lunch we all went outside and played in the snow. Huffle and the boys tried to build a defence wall against Moo and I, who had no problems building our wall but couldn't make snowballs with our snowball moulds or with our hands (we are far too delicate). After a while we gave up and played football.

When we first went out the snow was beautifully white and flat, it didn't take long for the whole garden to be footprinted

There was a lot of running around, plenty of falling over, a kick in Smallest's eye (an accident) and then we stopped for a hot drink outside on the patio chairs in the sun.

The sun was out and it was very bright but it was also mighty cold. It was -10* with windchill of -20*. It felt warm (well you know) when the wind didn't blow. I had a go on Moo's ski's and managed to walk and go down a very tiny slope until the boots hurt my calves so much that I had to take them off. I will have another go though.

We played some more football with the small net, taking it in turns to be goalie.

Eventually, tired and cold, we all came in. More jigsaw and playing and then we made some pasta and meatballs. It was lovely.
I found a new place to hang dry our pasta

After dinner we all played Disney Monopoly and Small won.

In preparation for Winter this year, we decided to close the pool ourselves and save $250. However, it seems the wonderful job we did with the cover has become full of snow, weighted down the cover and ripped it. OH NO! *What my do now? (Small's well used words when he was very small and didn't know what to do).

Pool...hope it won't be a case of penny wise pound foolish. It's not as if Huffle is reknown for trying to save a few shillings is it it?!?!
