....and also with you

A terrible nights sleep again where Huffle had trouble with his arm hurting, getting up for painkillers, him not sleeping, him keeping me awake, being too hot................. Need sleep!

Another early start where I took Small to school for 8am for his softball practice. He pitched today and did really well but he prefers to hit. Back home I had my breakfast (still no bread DAY3) and went off to aerobics. My shoulder was feeling better today so I managed to do everything including the plank without my bum in the air. Result.

Smallest had puffy eyes again and I gave him nose spray and eye drops but not anti-histamine as the pollen count seemed lower than yesterday, however he had itchy eyes today so tomorrow I will go back to giving him all three. All tree pollen seemed to be moderate today, not high. Ash, birch and Oak (though when I checked it lay it was high again). According to my app, tomorrow is moderate and Friday is high again. I also noticed that everyone in our Hamlet has cut their grass so that won't help as he is allergic to grass too.

After aerobics I came home, had a shower, grabbed my gardening stuff (for later) and went to the doctors. I took my knitting and he commented that it was nice to see a dying art of hand made things being made. He looked at my notes and started to ask me about the tablets he had given me three weeks ago. I interrupted him and asked him about my shoulder instead. He didn't seem too interested but said it was very probable that I could have popped it out of its socket, but that due to my age (how dare he) my muscles and tissues would start to deteriorate and that if left without the proper exercise, it could do it again. He gave me an exercise to do, didn't look at it or ask much but as least I know what to do to strengthen it. It's not like I am not using it. He asked how my tablets were going and I told him I was on my last one today and that I did not want any more and I hated them. He asked if they had done the trick and I told him NO, it had made it worse. Not only did I have a sore throat constantly after giving up spice for two weeks and then reintroducing it and having a worse throat afterwards, but that it really upset my stomach and made me feel quite nauseous. He has decided to send me to the ENT (ear nose throat) specialist although it is called something different here and I am to have a tube down to see what's going on. I explained about my gag reflex being really bad and he said they can put it down my nose. Ummmmm nice, that sounds so much better! He wanted to send me one for my tummy but I talked him out of it, considering that I don't have any of the reflux symptoms anyway.

From the doctors I went to Suffolks who had a nice Hot Lemon and Honey waiting for my sore throat and I did some gardening for her while she made our dinner. We had a lovely Quinoa salad and a long therapeutic chat and then I finished my work outside. I dug up a really huge bush and all its roots, cut back lots of shrubs and raked and swept my mess.

I got home before the kids and was greeted by a very sad Huffle. His work is getting on top of him, there is too much to do and he has to drive to Niagara on the day of Smallest's Talent Show. He also has to go to a meeting on Friday and next Monday. He has been given a couple of people to help him but it isn't enough. He had a call just before dinner which meant he couldn't eat at the same time as us which didn't help but the boys and I had to rush off to basketball. We left Huffle at home as he wanted to walk and have a shower.

The boys did very well at basketball and worked very hard. Smallest did both sessions. He was shattered. At home they both had showers before bed and Huffle and I watched TV.
