Help me obi-one man

Pinch punch first day of Spring officially. Plus it is the first day of April - April Showers BOOOOOO!

We had a morning of watching Leicester City draw against ManU. Would have been nice to get a win but a draw was okay too. We had the TV downstairs playing the game without sound because it was out by a few minutes and Huffles tablet was playing in my bathroom while I straightened my hair. Very exciting.

Huffle insisted we leave at 10am but we didn't know why. We had tickets for the One Man Star Wars Trilogy in Toronto but it didn't start until 2pm. Much later while we were trudging through the damp cold city, he told me he wanted to get something for Mothers Days from the market but unfortunately the market was closed today.

We drove down and I knitted in the car and the boys played on their DS' (old school but still entertaining on a journey) while Huffle did the horrible driving in the lashing rain with the idiot drivers. Once parked we donned our waterproofs and headed towards the market. Today was the Toronto Marathon but we only saw a couple of walkers at the end and a few limping athletes in the Mall. Because of the rain we ended up in the Eaton Centre (a mall) trying to get warm and find a loo. Here we perused a few shops including the Blue Jays store, EB Games and I tried to get Huffle in all the jewellers and shoe shops (considering he was thinking of Mothers Day) but I just couldn't persuade him in any. I don't know why but the Mall and the PATH (a network of shops, eateries and walkways underground) all feel really airless and I hate being in there. It's almost like they heat it unnecessarily.

St James' Church under the spiderweb of tram lines. Two interesting wall arts. I'm guessing the Prince one was a recent.
When it rains........always take B&W shots. TR: small clapping my marathon efforts. BR: funny street cleaning machine - made us laugh

Near to lunchtime, we made our way to a lovely place we found last month called G For Gelato. We sat in the window and watched the wet world go by while we shared a pizza (which they made specially as they don't normally make them till later in the afternoon and ate gelato. The owner recognised us from a Trip Advisor review I wrote (I posted a photo of Huffle eating an ice cream). He came over to speak to us and said welcome back (at this point we didn't know he had seen our photo on the review). He told the girl behind the counter that when we ordered Gelato (how did he know?) we were to have it for free as we wrote such a good review. How lovely. What a fabulous place. I will review it again. They deserve a top ranking place on Trip advisor.

All satisfied and happy we made our way to the Bluma Appel Theatre for the matinee performance. The boys had their photos taken with some Storm Troopers and we bumped into someone form the Hamlet too. We had good seats with a good view. Huffle and I have seen this man before doing a performance of One Man Lord of the Rings back in our hometown in UK. He was excellent then and I guess I know the Lord of the Rings better than I do the Star Wars films (though the boys have made us watch them many times, possibly the newer ones), because I was lost several times. He did a really good Jabba the Hut and Darth Vader and a very funny Luke and Yoda. Small has been so excited about going for weeks now and hasn't stopped talking about it. Everyone really enjoyed it. It was an hour and a quarter long (for one man doing the whole lot, that must have been ages). He threw in a few jokes based on Canada and Canadians and the metric system and told us he had been doing the show for 15 years and it started in Toronto. He also told us about his other shows; Lord of the Rings, another one I can't remember and Pride and Predujice (I don't know if this is a wind up but it would be funny).

Smallest wanted to go to the harbour but it was so windy and still raining so we turned round half way there and drove home instead. We had a good day despite the yucky weather.

Smallest calls this The Whisk

On the way home we popped into tehoharmacy and picked up Smallest's eye drops. We are all ready now for the pollen season which I am guessing is upon us as Smallest's eyes were a little puffy this morning.

Old MacDonald had a farm.......
